Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology is holding a programme of public events and activities this week to mark International Women’s Day 2019 tomorrow (Friday). Events are taking place in all the institute’s campuses in Galway and Mayo.

Recently appointed Cool Planet Champion, Bernard Joyce, will give a lunchtime presentation on how climate change is impacting on us and how best we can respond here in Mayo. The presentation will take place on Tuesday, February 19 in Room P002 from 1pm to 1.45pm.

Two GMIT architectural technology students, Declan Moran from Killanin, Co Galway, and Gerard Fay from Drung, Co Cavan, will compete in the finals of the prestigious Chartered Institute of Architectural Technology (CIAT) Student Architectural Technology Awards, which will take place in Shoreditch, London on September 14.
